Summer Musings

As the school holidays approach many teachers will be eagerly looking forward to a well-earned break; not so, your friendly local guitar teacher – I will welcome students old and new throughout the summer (and all other times of the year!)

Could this be an ideal time to try a new hobby or even to reconnect with your musical side if you have had some time away?

One problem though – the instruments don’t seem to like the heat…regular TLC and extra preparation are required at the moment!

Hitch-Hikers Guide :-)

Did you know that the theme from The Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy was originally an Eagles instrumental. Well, you’ll learn a lot more than music trivia in your lessons, including how to play this timeless classic.

“Light & Day / Reach for the Sun” by the Polyphonic Spree might not seem the best tune to reflect our current weather but why not make your day brighter by learning a sunny song on the guitar ?

It’s Spring 2017 & I have so many fresh bright new Classic Pop & Rock songs ready for my students in easy to follow formats that leave other web resources standing :-)

Well summer might no longer be with us but we can certainly brighten ourselves up with songs by artists as diverse as, Buddy Holly, Bell & Sebastian, The Talking Heads and The Undertones 🙂
